I talked about it in a post before, and I have a few friends I just met who are really super disciplined when it comes to exercise. From them, what I see is a kind of confidence radiating from the inside out, and the whole person looks very sunny.
I didn't actually pay much attention to their figures at that time, and it wasn't until later that I discovered that the friend who loved jogging had very strong muscles and a sense of strength; while the other elder who loved swimming had smooth and smooth muscle lines. Although it was not obvious, the symmetry and beauty really made people feel comfortable and at ease.
Influenced by these two elders, I have also begun to strictly require myself to move in the past six months. Once after swimming, I looked at myself in the mirror and felt like "I want to cherish this body."
Saying "love your own body" may sound a bit strange, but it's also strange when you think about it. We are busy working on our careers, improving our spiritual level every day, and even carefully taking care of the potted plants on the balcony and the pets at home. Watching them grow day by day will feel very healing, but we never thought of loving this only "skin" in this life, let alone helping it "upgrade" with our heart.
Now when I exercise, I start to feel the rhythm of my steps when running, or focus on the last moment of my stroke when swimming. It feels like I am communicating with my body, and after practicing again and again, I find that I really like the healthy body in the mirror more and more.
Young girls may want to show off their boyfriends or husbands, but when women mature, they often want to show off their children. Because the achievements of a partner may be attracted by personal charm, but the growth of a child requires day-by-day education and dedication.
In fact, the body is the same. We don’t need to envy those virtual bodies in short videos. As long as we learn to love our own bodies first and make every effort bit by bit every day, no one can take away this gain.
